The Trots Family Ceramics is a family business. We have been making Hutsul’s ceramics since 1997. As part of the traditional technique, we experiment with shapes and patterns, create exclusive products, which will never be made again.
We are enthusiasts who found their craft and want to show what a unique ceramic technology has been preserved in our country.
We are – a married couple, Ihor and Khrystyna Trots, and our daughter Maria-Tereza.
From the idea to the finished product, the whole process is made within our family.
Igor
Igor is a potter, generator of ideas, responsible for most technical processes and calculations for special orders. He has been working since 1997.
Khrystyna
Khrystyna is an artist; she creates pictures with people, animals and ornaments. She has been working since 1997. She paints everything made by Ihor, in particular large-scaled items – such as vases, lamps, flower pots, etc.
Maria-Tereza
Maria-Tereza is a one-man band. She creates designs for products, experiments with patterns and shapes by combining different cultural traditions. She moderates our blog, telling about the pottery technologies in other countries. She has been working since 2011. She also manages our social media pages and website.
