Кажуть, що колись давно на місці Карпат розливалося велике, неосяжне море. Високі полонини, де зараз пасуть овець, були морським дном, а над ними плавали загадкові морські жителі. Риби то опускалися на саме дно, торкаючись животами вершини нинішніх гір, то здіймалися вгору. Із тих давніх часів залишилися легенди про риб, чиї спинки та плавники розквітали пишними квітами та орнаментами. Наші керамічні рибки – їхні далекі нащадки.

In ancient times, a vast and immeasurable sea covered what is now the Carpathian Mountains. The high meadows where sheep graze today were once the sea floor, and mysterious marine creatures floated above them. The fish would descend to the very bottom, brushing their bellies against the peaks of what are now mountains, then rise again to the surface. From those immemorial times, legends remain of fish whose backs and fins bloomed with lush flowers and intricate ornaments. Our ceramic fish are their distant descendants.
